The Archaeological Ruins at Moenjodaro were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. The city dates to the third millennium BC and was laid out with a regularity that still surprises: gridded streets, drains, a great bath.

It stands on the right bank of the Indus, 24 kilometres south of Larkana. Conservation here is a continuing effort against salt, groundwater and heat, which makes considerate visiting part of the site's protection.
