What this award recognizes

A mountain destination where scenery, culture, accommodation and access come together for travellers of differing ability, not only expeditions.

01The nominee operates in, or is located within, Pakistan.
02The nominee was open to visitors or actively operating during the twelve months before nominations close.
03Information in the nomination can be independently verified.
04Any licences or registrations required for the nominee's activity are held and current.

Landscape and setting
Distinctiveness of the mountain environment.

Visitor experience
Quality of stays, food, guiding and interpretation.

Seasonal management
How the destination handles peak periods, road closures and weather.

Conservation
Protection of forests, water, wildlife and views.
