What this award recognizes

A specific trek, expedition, climb, ride, river journey or overland route offered to travellers, judged on how well it is designed and led.

01The nominee operates in, or is located within, Pakistan.
02The nominee was open to visitors or actively operating during the twelve months before nominations close.
03Information in the nomination can be independently verified.
04Any licences or registrations required for the nominee's activity are held and current.
05The experience is a defined, bookable product that ran during the eligibility period.

Evaluation areas

Design
Route, pacing and the quality of the experience itself.

Leadership and safety
Guide competence, equipment, contingency and medical planning.

Crew welfare
Fair pay, insurance, load limits and conditions for guides and porters.

Footprint
Waste carried out, fuel choices and campsite practice.
